Challah Diary PS and one to Send!

In the Challot (plural of Challah) I made (post below), I kept one loaf out special to send to my daughter!
I have always wanted to try sending a challah to another part of Japan, in preparations for
Shayndel's Challah Delivery Service.   Challah for all Japan!  To start,  the first one has been sent.
I hope she receives it with gladness and will enjoy a Challah in her new home and student life !!

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!!  Love, Shayndel

  5. YOUR POSTCARDS !! The joy and cheer. The art. The rich culture and references to our scripture heritage........ I am blessed and inspired every time I visit your blog. You have a daughter, grown and away for school? My son left a few years ago, fell in love immediately, and married a little over a year after he first moved out. His wife is older than him. She graduated from university as he entered university so she supports them financially for now while he devotes to his studies. My main complaint about all of that is that he has little need for his mommy any more. I miss him very much, but I try to keep the grief to myself and do not bother him with it. I hope you are doing well Shayndel. Hugs, sister across the oceans.

  6. Hi Tammy, Thank you so much for visiting and always your encouraging words!!! I understand that about missing your son!! May he and his new wife be blessed. In the Bible God gives us the model for sons going from their mothers to their wives, so its beautiful that he found someone that he loves. I have a daughter, and don`t have sons, but I understand how that must be as a mom and how you must miss him! May God`s love be with you in abundance!! I hope you and your son may have new chances to meet and be in contact more again. Sometimes it takes time, as I know from the other side, having left my family to marry and live far away, but then we have grown in closeness over the years even with the distance, and get to see each other so its really a blessing. Love and hugs to you , Tammy, sister across the oceans!!
